Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains eligibility, timelines, and how refunds are handled for training purchases and bookings. Serving Central and Southern Ohio.
Effective date: February 12, 2026
1) Overview
First In Safety provides scheduled training and certification services. Because class seats and instructor time are reserved, refunds are subject to the rules below.
2) Standard Refund Window (Public Classes)
For standard scheduled/public classes, you may request a refund if you cancel within the timeframe below:
- More than 48 hours before class start: eligible for a refund (minus any non-refundable processing fees, if applicable).
- Within 48 hours of class start: no refund (you may request a reschedule/credit, if available).
- No-shows: no refund.
3) Group / On-Site Training Refunds
Group and on-site training involves custom scheduling and resource planning. Refund eligibility may vary based on the contract or quote terms. Unless otherwise stated in writing:
- More than 7 days before the scheduled date: eligible for a refund (minus any non-refundable fees or purchased materials).
- Within 7 days: no refund (reschedule/credit may be available depending on instructor availability).
Note: If you have a written quote/agreement that includes different terms, the written agreement controls.
4) Non-Refundable Items
The following are generally non-refundable:
- Late cancellations (inside the refund window)
- No-shows
- Purchased training materials that have been issued/opened/customized
- Processing fees charged by payment providers (if they are not returned to us)
- Services already delivered (in whole or in part)
5) If We Cancel or Reschedule
If First In Safety cancels a class for any reason, you may choose:
- A full refund, or
- A transfer to a rescheduled date (if offered), or
- A credit toward a future class (if preferred).
6) Partial Completion / Failed Skills / Unsuccessful Assessment
Refunds are not provided for participants who do not successfully complete course requirements, arrive late, leave early, or fail to meet skills/written evaluation standards required for completion/certification.
7) How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us and include:
- Your name
- The class name/date (or group training date)
- The email/phone used during registration
- Reason for cancellation

8) Refund Processing Time
If approved, refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days. Timing may vary depending on the payment method and bank.
9) Policy Updates
We may update this policy as operations and payment systems evolve. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
