The HSI Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program gives teenagers and young adults the knowledge and confidence they need for safe, successful babysitting. It teaches how to care for children, interact well with families, and respond when problems arise.

Certification is valid for 2 years from the month of issue.
Initial training is about 4 hours. Completion is based on learning objectives, not only seat time.
Written evaluation is not required unless organizational policy says otherwise. All required skills must be performed competently.
